Rosanna McGlone

Freelance Writer and Arts' Practioner

I am able to provide writing services to projects as well as strategic input.

I am currently running two memory writing projects for older adults in NE Lincolnshire, one for Arts Council England and one for a charitable trust in Grimsby.

These involve a series of workshops, one to one mentoring and the editing and publication of an anthology. The resulting anthology is available in libraries across the county and is being shared in schools by project participants, three of whom are 89.

My background is as a freelance journalist for national newspapers including: The Guardian, The Weekend Australian and The Sydney Morning Herald. I was also a writer for The Pontefract Press, a community publisher.

I was Lincolnshire’s first Writer’s Support Worker, a mentor for Writing School East Midlands and a reader for Hull Truck Theatre. I have also been a lecturer at the University of Lincoln.

My own writing includes being shortlisted for the BBC’s Alfred Bradley Bursary Award, having monologues at London’s Vault Fest and Cafe Deli and a short at Hull Truck. My latest piece of fiction appears in an international anthology published by Muswell Press in November 2021. My work will also feature in Magna Vitae’s new Audio Trail.
I look forward to hearing from you if you feel that I might contribute to your project, or to discuss ideas.
